No 9 year old, regardless how intelligent he might be, should attend university as he/she cannot possibly cope with all the psychological or emotional problems. He/she will have an extremely lonely campus life. For even thinking about going to university, his/her parents must bear the blame.

2. Having said that, HKBU should NOT have even considered the application, much less admit him and announce a so-called tailor-made, five-year master's program for him; by the end of which he would be only 14 years old.

3. Finally, it's disgusting that the University, as you quite rightly pointed out, even after having made the mistake of admitting the kid, should NOT have arranged a press conference which turned out, as expected, nothing more than a circus sideshow. I felt both sorry and disgusted for the boy, his father and the University after seeing the boy play with the mike, make faces, etc.

What is the point of this whole damned-fool exercise, anyway? It certainly brought no glory to HKBU. I hope the University Administration would do everything possible to shield the boy from the destructive glare of paparazzi publicity!!! and just get on with guiding the poor boy through the next five years without further damaging his fragile emotions and psyche.

RRWAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02583888018437518186noreply@blogger.com
